The Help Files: How To Create Scripts In Diva

Diva gives you flexibility when it comes to preparing your recordings. Whether you have a fully written script or just want to record spontaneously, there’s a method that fits your workflow.

1. Upload a CSV

The CSV upload option is ideal if you already have your script prepared in a spreadsheet:

  • Organise your lines in a CSV file – each row corresponds to a line in Diva.

  • Upload directly to Diva, and the platform automatically formats each line as a separate script block.

  • Works best for structured projects with lots of lines or branching scripts.

💡 Tip: Double-check your CSV formatting before upload – small errors can disrupt line order or text display.

2. Copy and Paste

If you have your script in a document, you can copy and paste directly into Diva:

  • Select the lines you want to import and paste them into a new script.

  • This method is great for shorter scripts or last-minute edits.

💡 Tip: Use copy-paste for fast iteration – especially if you’re refining your lines on the fly.

3. Wild Recording (No Script Required)

For spontaneous sessions, Diva allows wild recording:

  • No script needed – record lines directly into the platform.

  • Diva automatically treats each recording as a separate line, so you can build your script organically.

  • Ideal for brainstorming, improvisation, or ad hoc projects.

💡 Tip: Even without a script, you can review and reorder lines immediately using Diva’s interface, then mark your favourite take for each line.
